Controller for Industrial Evaporators Type Akc 24p2

Introduction
AKC 24P2 is a controller which regulates the rate of refrigerant injection into industrial evaporators. It is able to control two separate AKVA or AKV electronic expansion valves. The superheat signal is measured via an AKS Pt 1000 sensor and an AKS 32 pressure transmitter.

Depending on the superheat signal, AKC 24P2 ensures optimum refrigerant injection space under all load conditions.

The controller can be operated via an AKA 21 setting module or from a PC via an AKM software system.

The degree of opening of an AKV/A valve is controlled depending on the superheat signal. The controller regulates the expansion valve so that there is optimum superheat at the evaporator the whole time. The function is adaptive and ensures constant minimum permissible superheat (MSS).
Superheat is limited by min. And max. Superheat settings. However, when the load is low, an even smaller superheat is permitted (is set in menu "SH close").
If the selected valve has over-capacity in relation to the evaporator, it is possible to limit the degree of opening of the valve. Setting "AKV max" is used for the purpose.
