     Due to the different zinc content in brass, the mechanical properties are also different. For α brass, the increment of zinc content is converted, and both σb and δ increase continuously. For (α + β) brass, when the zinc content increases to about 45%, the indoor strength continues to increase. If the zinc content is further increased, the r-phase (solid solution based on Cu5Zn8 compound) appears in the alloy structure, and the strength drops sharply. (Α + β). Therefore, a copper-zinc alloy with a zinc content exceeding 45% has no practical value.
