CNG/LPG high pressure sensors can be used to measure the altitude of aircraft, rockets or balloons. They are often used in car design, from optimizing engine functions and controlling emissions to monitoring tire and airbag pressure, and even controlling inflatable air bags in dynamic seats. In industrial Settings, they can be used to measure the speed of gas flow (sometimes called "shock pressure") to confirm the presence of suction, manage source pressure or test for leaks. Gas pressure sensors are transducers: they produce electrical signals proportional to the measured pressure. This allows pressure to be monitored through microprocessors, programmable controllers, computers and other electronic devices connected to the sensors. Some gas pressure sensors are analog, providing pressure feedback in the form of an electric current. There are also digital sensors, which can provide a digital value of gas pressure, and sensors that can provide other types of feedback, such as optical, visual or auditory signals.
