Common sheet metal fabrication techniques

1) Crimping

The main difference between the two processes is that deep drawing requires multiple drawdown reductions, while hydraulic molding can be done in a single step.

6) Punching

Finally, stamping is a sheet metal forming process that involves the use of punches and dies to punch holes in sheet metal. The sheet metal is placed between the punch and the die. Next, the punch presses down and through the sheet metal to create a hole.
