303 stainless steel: softer than 304SS, non-magnetic, so used in CNC milling, also not suitable for heat treatment, hardness is not affected by thermal treatment.

304 stainless steel: compared with 303SS, cnc machining corrosion resistance is higher than 303SS, harder than 303, so it is more difficult to process than 303, and the stress items used in manufacturing are larger.

316L stainless steel: lower carbon than 304, more corrosion-resistant, not suitable for carburizing, most commonly used in the oil and gas industry, Marine applications, and another corrosive environment of some hexagonal screws, facilities, etc., and it is currently more used in the 3D printing industry.

S316 and S316H are high purity materials, we often use them in our plastic mold materials. When higher material hardness is needed, we also carry out special heat treatment for S316H, so the mold can be injected with hard plastic or transparent materials like ABS and PC, and its performance also requires very high polishing.
