How bright should warehouse lighting be?
Lumen is a key factor to consider when installing a lighting system for your warehouse. How bright should the warehouse lights be?Absolutely not,  although warehouses and other industrial facilities require bright working environments, but too bright lighting can cause discomfort to workers and employees. 

Here is a simple, basic recommendation for lumens per square foot of a warehouse.
For warehouses handling large items, the ideal lumen requirement is often about 10 lumens per square foot.
For warehouses that store and handle smaller items, this number can reach up to 30 lumens per square foot.
For aisles, it is recommended to be somewhere in between. Therefore, the recommended requirement is 20 lumens per square foot.
